K Research recently stated that Thai automotive production is improving rapidly following Thailand's disastrous floods and is expected to recover fully around the middle of the year. Considerable damage was experienced by auto-part makers and assemblers which affected entire production lines of the supply chain. However repairs are proceeding on schedule and in spite of the setback auto parts and supporting industries are projected to grow substantially. Aiding the growth will be the launch of new model sedans and pick-up trucks in 2012. Auto manufacturers directly affected by the flooding have been granted import duty exemptions. And even those who were not directly affected will benefit from new duty exemptions on imported machinery as well as auto parts. All of these factors are helping improve the situation considerably.

OKUMA - World leading Japanese Brand - selects INTERMACH

Mr. Yasunori Yamasaki, Managing Director of OKUMA Techno (THAILAND) Ltd.
said in a recent interview that his company had committed to exhibiting at INTERMACH "The strength of this exhibition is that it displays technology and machinery which companies are interested in procuring right at the start of the business buying season. Considerable sales will be made throughout the industry in the first quarter after the recent flooding, and companies prepare to get back into full production by the middle of the year. We have taken up to 200 square meters together with our partners, and will be presenting a full range of our latest technology, which will benefit manufacturers considerably."

"Our customers are mostly in automotive, auto parts, mold & die, construction and electronics," he said. During the flooding, around 500 machines belonging to our customers were affected, most of them in Ayuthaya province. Consequently, we had to reschedule marketing activities to the end of the year and reallocate our time and manpower - including technicians from Japan - to take care our clients. INTERMACH comes at the right time as usual."
